Nice knife for outdoor activities
Great knife for outdoor activities! I had this one for over 10 years and still works like new. Durable, lightweight, and easy to start a fire with it when needed. Good grip and the price is affordable. 10/10!

Is decent knife if you have your expectations and planned use aligned with the price point
First off you need to keep in mind you are not purchasing some expensive super knife that was forged in a mythical land and will give you the ability to rule the universe, then your mindset will be aligned with being happy with this setup. If you are looking for that super knife I would not be purchasing this or any other inexpensive knife as a substitute, you are very unlikely to find someone selling a hundred dollar knife this cheap. As a backup knife / fire starter this works very well. When it ships it is not the sharpest knife in the world, but if you know how to sharpen a knife it will take you no time to put a nice edge on the blade. You do need to keep in mind however that the steel this is made of is fairly soft and therefore it is not going to stand up to much abuse before you need to sharpen it again. This is why I say this is a good backup knife or to use for a fire starter setup. I would rather dull this out striking it against a flint rather than an expensive knife, and while this will cut nicely when sharp it not holding a blade is going to get troublesome if you are calling this your primary knife. The flint is pretty much what it is advertised and looks like, would help you start a fire in a pinch if needed. The sheath is decently made and holds the knife well. Again not exactly mil-spec quality but it works well to keep the knife from poking holes in things if you would keep it in a backpack or bad, or poking holes in you if you put it on a belt. The "Paracord" around the handle is not your mil-spec quality paracord for sure. It really does not look like it was intended to be anything more than a cool looking handle on the knife, which it works well for and allows you to have a comfortable grip on the knife.Bottom line for me, if you are purchasing a backup knife you would want to use for fire starting or other things which you would not want to put a nicer knife through, this is a good bargain. If you are looking for something that is going to be a spectacular primary use knife for daily work then you probably want to go looking for something a bit higher up the chain. I would certainly recommend this knife if your expectations are aligned with the price you are paying

More than I expected...
So lets get the negatives out of the way. I'm not sure what specific steel is in this knife other that it is stainless steel. It comes as dull a butter knife out of the box. I have used a smith pp1 to sharpen it and it took a long time to get it close to what I would consider sharp. I was barely able to get it sharp enough to slice through a sheet of paper and even then it does more tearing than slicing. The cord wrapping the handle is not paracord quality or even close. Its more like a very cheap shoe lace. Now for the positives. The fire starter works very well. It throws good sparks. It alone is worth the price of this kit. The knife is full tang and solid. I was able to use it to baton through some small pieces of wood and it worked surprisingly well. But I guess you could baton with a butter knife as long as it was strong enough. The knife held up well but not the edge. I had to resharpen it afterwards. So why four stars? Because It is an excellent backup knife. It is small and sturdy. I would have no qualms about attaching it to pole and using it as a spear. I wouldn't be afraid to use it as pry bar or screw driver. I would use this for things I wouldn't even think about using my main knife for. Also they are so inexpensive you could stash them somewhere, forget about them and not feel guilty. You could leave one in your B.O.B., your glove compartment, your trunk etc. And if you need a knife in a pinch it will be there for you. Not the the best knife but better than nothing. Again if you are look for an inexpensive main knife for camping, survival etc. look elsewhere. Try a Mora for just few dollars more than this knife. But if you're just looking for a beater knife or if the fire steel is more important to you than the knife then this is a good option. Overall I like this knife especially for the price.
