Break free from cloud nonsense
This device is exceptional-- solid design and firmware, and it very easily integrates with Home Assistant. I had naively purchased a Chamberlain MyQ opener without realizing that the company had cut off API access, locking the customer into their platform. The MyQ app leaves much to be desired, and also requires a cloud connection to operate, which I desperately want to avoid. I have been burned too many times in the past with cloud solutions that are subject to poor software changes or can lose functionality entirely. Also, if local internet goes down, you can't open the door from the MyQ app while on local network, which is ridiculous. This device allows you to be your own master of your garage door openers and offers better functionality than MyQ. The Home Assistant integration even allows you to only partially open or close the garage door, something the MyQ app does not offer. It, of course, does not solve the problem of not being able to access the camera in MyQ openers, but I've accepted this as a loss and just won't be using it. I can definitively say that I am very pleased with this purchase.

If you're even hesitating, don't! Buy this unit now!
Wow - just wow. I'm rarely impressed by consumer smart home products, mostly because they feel like they're barely engineered Chinese junk just trying to get to market fast. That's NOT the case here. This is quality all around.I have a myQ opener, integrated into my Control4 home automation system. It worked for a while, until Liftmaster because jerks and enshittified their platform, cutting off access to the API. You were chained to their app, or had to pay lots of annual fees to use their API. All of the sudden all my integrations quit working when they became a**holes.Enter the Konnected blaQ! This little gizmo was the easiest thing I've probably ever installed. EVERYTHING was included! Wire. Screws. Power adapter. Safety Stickers. Well written instructions! It was trivial to plug in to the wall and get online, and their app makes it easy to build firmware and upgrade it. Once it's upgraded, unless you're changing the firmware for some reason, it has no need to go anywhere off your local network again. Set up is as simple as adding two wires (included) to the opener contacts, plugging the box in, and finding a way to attach it to the wall (hint: use the included screws!)The device has its own web page, and there are lots of great integrations with home automation systems including Control4 and HomeAssistant. Better yet, though? Its API is free, open, and documented. It's even RESTful. Want to do really wild stuff with this? You can - easily - on your own! This is what Liftmaster/Chamberlain SHOULD have been. But they're greedy. Konnected and the GDO blaQ solve the problem for far less than one year of API access would cost.If you don't have a Wifi-enabled garage door opener, but you do have Liftmaster/Chamberlain, this device connects it for far less money than the OEM solution and on top of it, does a better job!

Easy DIY Smart Opener Solution
I got 2 of these for my garage doors. I was/am using the MyQ app which works well over the internet but I wanted to be able to have local control and use automation with Hubitat. I was going to use the Zooz MultiRelay which would have been less expensive but I caught these on sale during the holiday deals and decided to go the quick and easy route. These are super easy to install and paired with Hubitat with no issues. They work great and I really like being able to change the close warning tone. There are many options but being a geek I had to use star wars for one opener and star trek for the other.

Had some challenges but was able to work through them with community support
I'm rating this as a 5 as it works well, but will caution that your initial setup could be challenging if you want to use the I/O for detecting it the door is open or closed, or if you want to do any other functions. The support community and online documentation are fair to help you resolve any issues you may have. I ended up figuring out how to get this work the way I wanted but it took some trial and error to get it right. I integrated the two units I purchased with Home Assistant and they work well. I did need to use ESPHome Builder to modify these to work for my use case.

Very easy to setup and integrate
I was really surprised at how easy this was to get ready and hookup to my LiiftMaster 87504R-267 MyQ garage door opener, only two wires plus the power supply! I previously had the white version of this with my old garage door opener and that was much more work to get setup, of course I bought it right when it first became available so a very early version of the firmware. I installed the BlaQ within about 15 minutes of receiving it and everything just worked right away no open/close sensor to calibrate like on the white since this one reads the state right from the opener.

Matter support still experimental
Great idea. Still waiting on full matter support.

Is this still a supported product?
I want to love it, since it finally got me away from chamberlain. I got it set up on my garage and it works ok, but I don’t get replies from support when I run into issues. The software is buggy and unintuitive. For example, the app is asking me to do a firmware update and I just hit an error page. I haven’t gotten support replied before, so I posted to the forum. Still no reply.I’m wondering if this is a supported product or even still being worked on. If not, I’m stuck with an installed hardware device that doesn’t update.

Great solution!
I'll admit I was skeptical at first, but this thing was easy to set up and works great. I have a 3 year old liftmaster with the yellow button. I'm using local control along with home assistant and it's wired direct to the opener, but there is a way to put it in the middle of the button on your wall if need be. Joining wifi, learning codes, getting it into home assistant, were all a breeze. This is definitely the solution if you were relying on the myq integration with another or simply want local control. The only thing I haven't figured out is opening the door to a certain percent, but I wonder if that's something my opener doesn't report. It does at least report if it's in the middle of opening or closing, though.
