It reeks, but it helped repair my skin's moisture barrier, soooo...!
I saw this on a Buzzfeed listicle and purchased it while I was still anxiously waiting for Tatcha's "the Deep Cleanse" to arrive. I'm in my mid-30s with sensitive combination skin, prone to cystic acne, and I was desperate to find a cleanser containing a physical exfoliant that wouldn't anger my temperamental skin. And although I love The Deep Cleanse ($38!!!), I think this stuff is pretty comparable. My inflamed skin was flaking from dehydration (and perioral dermatitis!), and this helped it get back to its old self again. (I used some other products, too -- a calming toner, a Manuka honey moisturizer, marula oil -- but I think that extra exfoliating/hydrating step helped to clear the way and let the magic happen.)I took the cleansing stick with me on a weekend to wine country, along with a silicone face-scrubbie, and another couple commented on my "glow." I did read the Amazon reviews before I purchased this stuff, and I heeded the warning to not recap it right away in the shower, lest the cleansing stick stay wet, disintegrate, and slough apart. I've been letting it air-dry instead. So far, so good. The one thing I will say is... this stuff reeks. It's incredibly unpleasant. I was not expecting that, since so many reviews raved about its scent! But the coffee has a distinct acridity that, up against the sickly-sweet coconut scent, strikes a really harsh discordant note. I think I might be a supertaster, though. But it's eight bucks and, like I said, it works just as well as a $38 cleanser. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is trying to repair a broken moisture barrier and has a flaky chin -- you'll love it.

Great poduct! Good quality and amount for price.
I like YES products. Always find them to be gentle and good quality. Purchased the coffee coconut face cleanser stick for $6. Great size, will for last awhile. Nice coconut sent and gently moisturizing for face cleanser. Wonderful exfoliating feel when applying and suds well. Washes off easily. The trick to face cleansing sticks is to just dampen face with cloth or sponges then apply. You do not want to get stick excessively damp or wet. I use at the sink, not in the shower. Also, just roll the stick up enough to apply a layer to your face. No need to expose more of it than enough for one application. Should spread thin and evenly. It is a high quality stick. Others reviewers have written that they received sticks that stink and are mushy. Something is wrong if this is the case. Request a replacement.

Great Cleanser; Awkward Application Method
One of my top priorities when purchasing toiletries and cosmetics is that they not be tested on animals. Many cruelty-free brands are too far out of my budget range to be viable options, but I've found the Yes To product line to be comparatively reasonably priced and quite adequate for my needs.I found this face cleanser to be terrific, but for the "rub-on-stick" application method. I love the way it smells, and it seems to do an excellent job of cleaning my skin (both face and body). However, I do not care for the stick; when the product is rubbed down too far, the edges of the container scrape on my skin. Also, the soap becomes soft (good) and ends up coating the outside of the application container, particularly in the area where the cap screws on (not so good). I end up spending a lot of time rinsing the container, trying to get all the soap off of it, which wastes time and soap.Yes, I realize the soap isn't hurting anything when it's on the container. But my desire for tidiness is at odds with practicality in this instance.I do highly recommend the soap itself. I would just recommend that if you are like me, and you want your containers to be clean and tidy on the outside, you pass on this one. I haven't tried the other Yes To facial cleansers that come in alternate formats; I'm hoping I will find one that is as good as this one but comes with a pump or tube dispenser.

Deep clean feeling
I’m all about product that work for a cheap price, I have normal skin, it does not irritate or cause any breakouts. I use this in the shower after washing with clean and clear face wash and this get my skin feeling more clean. It really takes off all the make up and eyelash glue with out using anything but my hands to massage it in. Love it I did notice a weird smell but i purchased this product at a local store and it had the same smell. I think it’s just the tomato stuff they use in it.

Stinky, Super Crunchy, a sensory nighmare
I appreciate exfoliating scrubs and expect them to be gritty. This felt like using large-grit sandpaper. Even if I could get past that part, the coconut coffee combo is just a horrid smell.

This was a great buy
I really like the stick formula for cleaners and the ingredients in this one were the selling point for me. It rolls on smooth, there's a TON of product, easy twist for getting more product out and it doesn't slip down and need retwisting every use. It's been an asset product to keeping my pores clean and it totally washes off all your oils. You can feel the gentle exfoliating particles which I appreciate on days I'm not doing a deep scrub with a scrubber.
