Excellent quality brass material with great appearance with a few caveats
Overall I am 5 star satisfied with my new doorbell. But, depending upon your particular installation situation there are a few important considerations. The good:1) Great appearance and bronze/brass metal with brass screws. This may weather and age with patina that I believe I will be fine with.2) The LED light inside the button is not some weird objectionable color and it is not too bright. The color is a warm light orange like the old school incandescent doorbell buttons.3) The metal give a good solid feel of quality to the touch. Hopefully the button lasts many years, because nothing will outlast the metal escutcheon (it will last forever). The caveats:1) This doorbell is not meant for a "surface" mount. The button with electrical connections extends into the surface to which the doorbell mounts. This is somewhat depicted in the amazon pics but is not clarified. I did not measure this inward protrusion but it is only about 1" maximum and the diameter or the button portion. I had to create a pocket in the brick/mortar for my specific installation (used a hammer drill with masonry bit).2) The brass screws that are included are nice but do not come with any plastic expansion anchors. This is not needed for many other surfaces like wood or siding materials, but I did need this for screw holes in the brick of my house (I found something for a solid attachment using the included brass screws).Overall 5 star satisfied for a fifteen ninety nine value. Cheers!

Doorbell
It’s a nice doorbell that has a nice bright LED light and a very decorative brass housing. It fit my application perfectly only use one screw didn’t wanna drill another one into my block, but it screwed in nice and tight. You can’t wiggle it I would highly recommend it.

Bright and tight. Does the job.
The base is well made. Solid. Screw holes are precise. The light is bright, and the wired screw connections are tight and right. The doorbell button itself may need to be pushed back in; to seat correctly. Functional and serves the purpose well

What a jewel of a doorbell, wow!
This is a replacement doorbell made of metal, with a 24-7 lighted push button operating style. If the sound played is ding-dong, then you need nothing extra. If the style is a chime sounding doorbell system then an extra item is needed, a diode. The diode can be transferred from the old doorbell, if there is one, to the new doorbell, if the old diode still works (they last for years usually, mine was still good). The diode is a tiny round, colored cylinder with a small bare metal wire poking out of each end, found on the back side of the old doorbell, if you have one, if you don't see one, then you probably don't need one. If you have one make note of how it ties into both sides of the doorbell, or photograph it with you smart phone, for future reference, then unhook it and transfer using the same configuration as the old set up. Note that the one drawback to this new doorbell is that you might have to widen the mounting hole in the doorframe in order to successfully install this new, larger doorbell button. Carefully widen the hole without damaging the doorbell wires or creating a short in the system. Always find and kill at the breaker panel switch, the electrical current to the doorbell first thing, before working on the system!! Test the doorbell after assembly before placing in doorframe to make sure it is going to work. The new doorbell should fit in that new sized hole a bit snug to help hold the new button in place. Enjoy!!

Beautiful
Beautiful and ornate looking. I ended up not being able to use it but it's a great product!

Nice quality, but deceiving installation
Good quality doorbell. But none of the pictures or details show that you need to ensure there’s about a half inch wide by half inch deep hole in your wall to allow the back part to be inserted. I drilled this reluctantly, but would be important for buyers to know
