This item does not fit a 6.6 Duramax diesel. I have a 2011 GMC 6.6 L Duramax diesel. This is the wrong alternator.

Fit my 2012 suburban 5.3 and runs great. Voltage kept jumping from 11 to 15 over and over, unfortunately this didn't last long.

This works but not the best. Had to make a short bat cable 5" long to extend my cable to have the length to the batt connection to the back of the alternator but works fine for me.

SUPER EASY to install.7-10 mins.tops for my 07 Avalanche.OBD2 reset and a 3 mile test. Perfect!

I needed a new alternator for a 2013 Suburban. To my surprise, Amazon offered same-day delivery for this alternator, so I went ahead and bought and installed it. It worked fine for about 3 weeks; at that time, the headlights would flicker from normal bright to super bright. About a week later the battery light came on in the dashboard. I went back to Amazon and bought a Declo-Remy alternator and everything has worked fine so far. Because I was just over 30 days I guess with the item there is no recourse to return it. Maybe I just got a bad one. I paid twice to learn a lesson.
