Very cool, saves water and doesn't dilute my friends whiskly. A talking point for sure.

These where very surprising to me, the fact is I didn’t know what to expect, but what I do know, is that they out performed what I thought they’d do, even once I’d frozen them for 3hrs, and they came out super cold to the touch, I just didnt realise they would stay cold for so long in my drink.At first I tried 3 bullets, but then I found that 2 bullets was enough for me to perfectly chill my drink.Now, obviously the aesthetic is what it is, and I personally think they look very cool, the bullets are a “1 piece” steel construction, and they have a good weight to them, they come in a little wooden box that’s a nice way to hold them and store them, and then when I want them I simply lift out the plastic “Cylinder” that holds the bullet shaped “chilling stones”.I think the way they have presented them is great, because it’s even an addition to the experience to load up the cylinder.All in all, these are now going to be in my home office, for whenever I fancy a glass with a chill, to chill.

This item came beautifully presented in a wooden box. The individual items are wrapped and the glass made the post intact. There are four cubes, a pair of tongues, a coaster and a bag for the cubes as well as the tumbler. We are not drinking alcohol at the moment but it feels like the cubes would be effective because they feel cold on holding them in the palm of my hand. Of course, non alcoholic drinks would be just as effectively cooled. Overall, this is very nicely presented and suitable gift for a whisky loving friend.

Whilst i'm not sure many people will be putting the stainless steel bullets in their freezer should they receive this item as a gift, there is no denying they certainly look the part and provide a good talking point when viewed on the side, the box too looks very nice from a distance.Item arrives boxed in a branded box, suitable for gifting, contains a wooden box, six stainless steel bullets and holder along with a pouch to keep them in.Whilst the included wooden box looks great from a distance, it is more lightweight than it first appears on closer inspection, the catch is great but the wood thinner than expected, the stainless steel bullets and plastic holder are great though and provide a nice talking point.Therefore as ornaments the box and stainless steel bullets will look great on any shelf, however will anyone actually freeze the stainless steel bullets and add them to their drink? or worse still, accidentally swallow one. Let's hope not.

I'd never seen these before, but its a great idea. You can have Whiskey on the rocks, without diluting the whiskey. They work well and look cool in the glass.Comes in a nice wooden presentation box, along with some tongs and a storage bag. It would make a great gift for a Whiskey fan.

The box the stones arrived in looked alright at first, unfortunately it fell apart as soon as I opened it, which won’t give the best first impression to someone if you gave them the set as a gift. So don't expect the box to last as a long-term storage, the bullets come in a six-shooter style revolver cylinder made from plastic for storage which does a reasonable job of keeping them together in the freezer.The odd shape of the bullets and the lack of weight means they don't stay in place when you’re tipping your glass up to drink. I've been splashed by whiskey when they move around, and I'd be concerned about them smacking you in the face if you’re not careful. You have to pay attention to which way the bullet(s) are facing inside the glass when you pick it up to avoid it rolling around and splashing, which can be tedious when you’re trying to relax and enjoy a drink.I don't really mind these at all as an alternative to my soapstone set regarding cooling, one of the bullets was able to chill a double whiskey from 16 c to 10 c in a couple of minutes and kept it there for a while. If you’re a slower sipper you may want to throw a couple in, that is if you’re willing to risk more splashing around inside the glass. If you want ice-cold cooling, you’re going to want to use four or more of these if you enjoy your whiskey ice-cold.Price wise, these are significantly higher than bullet shaped stones from other brands. They are also much more expensive than stones in square or sphere designs that don't suffer from similar issues. They do the job and would be a great gift for someone who would enjoy the novelty of the design, but if you’re looking for something more functional and less likely to smack you in the face or splash you then just go with the reliable shapes or soapstones.

This is a fantastic little set and would make a really lovely gift for any whiskey drinker. I'd never heard of whiskey stones until a couple of week ago, so as soon as I saw these I couldn't wait to try them. They are designed to keep your drink cold without watering it down like ice would. You just pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours and when you're ready put them in your drink to keep it nice and cold. The wooden box they come in is a very lovely touch. It's solid and can be used for other things too. We are currently using ours as a loose change box. For £20 you can't knock it.
