Absolutely waterproof even in the heaviest rain!
This is an excellent bit of kit for outdoor lighting. We have a projector for outside the house for Christmas lights etc, and I recently tested this outside. I left it for a couple of days, and during this time we had one of the worst rainstorms I’ve experienced in years. I was a little worried that the rain would be just a bit too much for it, but when I opened it up the next day it was absolutely dry and not a single drop of water was able to get inside. Very impressive!!

Great waterproof box for an extension lead outside
Great waterproof box for an extension lead outside - we got this so that we could plug more than one thing in at a time to our outside single socket with earth leakage trip - i.e. lawnmower, hedge trimmer, Xmas lights, campervan for charging, etc. The box itself works well, and seals brilliantly, though the tabs for mounting to the wall look a bit weak, but have so far done the job. If the tabs broke it would be easy to drill and screw directly through the box's body and use rubber washers to mount.

VERY USEFUL
This is the second of these Pro Elec IP64 Outdoor Enclosure with 4 Gang 2 m Extension Lead - White, that we have, and like most Pro Electric stuff they are well made, and reliable. One is in our summer house, which is now the wife's crafty house, and contains all the electrical sockets in a nice safe environment. The other is at the back of our Blagdon Affinity Half Moon pool. I got this to hide away all the excess wiring with the Green Sun submersible spot light kit - another excellent product. In our situation three of the four spot lights are submerged in the pool right close to the scourse of power so to keep things tidy the Outdoor Enclosure is ideal. In my experience you can usualy rely on Pro Electric, so I will be pleased to recomend this enclosure.

Better and cheaper alternatives
Bought for Christmas Light displayIt is OK . . . BUT . . .The seal in the base is made up of a number of small pieces of foam . . . Fiddly to get back in placeThe lid is higher at the back so it does restrict what transformers you can get insideGiven it is effectively only for a four socket board it’s usefulness is out weighed by the cost. The Masterplug boxes at £13.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Masterplug-IP54-Weatherproof-Electric-Box-Grey/dp/B00B0X8CYC/ref=sr_1_3?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1544371661&sr=1-3&keywords=masterplug+weatherproof+box are much cheaper, have better depth and will comfortably accommodate the Masterplug 8-way socket board at £9.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0083S18SE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. An overall saving of approx. £4

Discreet with easy access
It is rare to find outdoor boxes like this in white which I needed to mount discreetly on a white rendered wall. The slots for cables were well insulated, and the box itself is deep for the extension cord and accommodate a timer/remote while plugged in.The catches allow for easy access vs screwed fasteners for other boxes, and was very easy to mount on the wall with hanging screws.

Dangerous rubbish that leaks
This is dangerous and should not be sold. The extension lead, and seals fall out but even when properly fitted the box leaks very badly. After first rain I opened it to find lots of water inside. The rubber seals are lose and fall out, as do the cable clips that are supposed to hold exiting leads in place. The extension lead is a very cheap lump that keeps falling out and is too wide to easily route its supply cable out - unless you loop the lead around and waste space.
