Easy to use

I put the can in hot water for about 5 minutes, it works great, I’ll let you know if my sweet cherry trees grow from a sour cherry tree after grafting

Worked well for grafts - hopefully holds up!

We used this wax to cover the tape we put over grafts. We did put it into a pot with hot water around it to soften. It spread easily, and stuck to the areas we wanted. It did get on clothing and on the metal pot, but cleaned off fairly easily with hot water. Not sure of the long-term durability, but it should be fine until the grafts heal over.

Works fine.

It works and it was much easier to apply than I was led to believe after reading other reviews. It's the only brand I have used so I withheld the 5th star Because I cannot compare it.

The stickiest substance on earth?

I am not an experienced grafter. I cannot rate the effectiveness of this product over long term use, or compare it to others... but wow, is this grafting wax sticky! I think it's the human equivalent of fly paper glue. Stuck right to my little grafted trees, got moderately harder after a couple of days. Not hard to use, other than being sticky, stretchy and gooey. I recommend wearing disposable gloves, it's not easy to get off of your hands. Plus is that it is pretty easy to avoid spilling or smearing onto most other surfaces.

Not what I expected. Wax or glue?

This product most probably "functions" as advertised in sealing wounds or grafts. I'm pleased with how my grafts look after using and have not had one to fail yet. However; practical use of it is not what I expected and consistency is more like very sticky glue than wax. If you're expecting candle wax consistency, this is not it. Product is very difficult to use and pretense that it will melt with warmth from hands is totally misleading in the product that I received. In fact it's even difficult to melt in a water bath on a stove top. Product may be great but takes an effort to work with it.

Had to use a blow torch to open the container.

I think that my can was a return - maybe returnee attempted and failed to use. The can was rather dented too. The contents were all over the inside of the lid. My hubby and myself failed to open it. My son took that as a challange and opened it using a blow torch. To melt it I needed to used an almost boiling water bath and it took quite awhile and never fully melted. I wore latex gloves and used a paint stirrer to apply it to my Japanese Maple tree. I used the entire can. Then I wrapped my tree in tree wrap and sprayed the tree with Malathian to kill the bugs that are taking up residence under the bark. I removed the loose bark first.
