Great percolator, makes one large cup of coffee or tea or whatever. I use the 1300 Esbit fire cubes (the larger ones) and put them in the smaller tray sideways to fit, they heat the water faster than the smaller cubes. Love this cool little coffee maker. Love it love it love it...

Extremely poor quality for such a simple design.
The media could not be loaded. I ordered one of these and tried it out a few days later. The welding on the spout appears to have been done by a child, therefore it leaked excessively, resulting in not having my much- needed coffee. I reached out to the vendor who had not bothered to respond. In theory product is great; in practice, it sucks.

Absolutely love this. If you enjoy a great cup of coffee and are tired of drinking instant or using coffee bags this is a must. It is a bit heavy due to the stainless steel construction, but man is it worth it. Nothing like getting up in the morning and 42 degrees outside and having a fresh cup of java. It uses steam to make a coffee. Did I mention that it is fantastic.

Makes a great cup of java but not multi-stove compatible
Making coffee in the morning at camp is a ritual for me. I use a larger percolator pot when camping with the wife, but when solo I want less bulk and volume. This little maker fits the bill. It makes a tasty brew and holds exactly 8oz of water - beverage output is slightly less than that. It works as advertised as a stove/maker combo using the tablets...however, if you plan to use this with multiple stoves like I did, you will have some issues - the only reason for me not giving 5 stars. The maker's base is a multi-tiered ring (2" dia flat bottom) that is usually too small to securely fit most canister and even alcohol stoves by itself. This is not important if you plan to only use the provided tablet stove. I simply fabricated an adapter plate using a 3"x3" piece of .050" aluminum with the corners removed and a 2.25" dia hole in the middle to interface with the second tiered circle of the maker's base. This made it fit my alcohol stove nicely and works/packs easily with my stove. Canister stoves will require a mesh or grid over their supports to keep the maker's bottom far enough away from the flame head..and will still be "wobbly". Both issues are easily overcome if you want the flexibility, and the output is good enough for the extra work involved. I had no fit or quality issues with the unit I have and found the SS construction to be durable. Good little solo maker and works as advertised with supplied stove.

Good coffee
Works as advertised just remember it only makes 8oz at a time and you need some cool down time (5minutes or so) before you can make another brew.

damaged item
the gasket on this coffee maker is damaged, steam escapes, not making coffee, very disappointed. It was a Christmas gift. I would like my money back or have the item replaced, have tried to contact seller numerous time, and have not received any answers. I would not buy this item again.

Novelty item
I purchased this product because it is very similar in function to the Bialetti coffee maker I use at home. Unfortunately, I don't find that it is a useful product while backpacking. The nozzle sticks awkwardly out of it's pouch. I find it hard to close, and to make a cup of coffee you have to use 2 smaller tabs placed sideways in the provided tray. But, 1 set of 2 is not enough, especially in cold weather. You have to use about 1.5 sets for a cup.I won't complain about the weight; I knew it would be heavy as soon as I read "stainless steel," but I was hoping it would work better. The coffee it produces is fine. But it's too fiddly to be enjoyable for my taste.
