Best headset ive ever bought
First off this headset is fantastic. Ive used these for at least 5 years. Maybe even longer and used them on almost all platforms: ps4, Xbox one, ps5, and pcWhy did you pick this product vs others?:Steelseries has a well renowned name and wanted to try them out cause they were cheap when I got themBattery life:No battery life they are wiredWeight:Very light weight and comfyDesign:Shaped well fits nicely over my ears without putting pressure on them. Not quite noise canceling but dampening yes. Which i preferEase of use:Very intuitive and simple to figure out. Just plug in and useVolume control:Simply volume control and actually pretty effective. They do not just slightly move and its ear piercingling loud. The volume scroll works wellConnectivity:Just plug in and it works

Lasts for ages!!! Very comfortable, great sound! Very good if you are Neurodivergent!
I have a serious problem with wired headphones. For some reason, even wired headphones that I take very good care of end up with the wires getting pulled in just a way where one ear will stop working, or they only work when you twist them into a specific angle when plugged into your phone, etc... but these headphones are different. I wear my headphones almost 24/7 because I have autism and it helps soothe me, and I listen to loud music all the time as well as using them for gaming and using them for voice chats. These headphones can do it all. They are lightweight, affordable, AND I can wear them in bed while laying on my side for ages without feeling like my ear is going to fall off or explode. The removable microphone is very nice too as long as you don't lose it.I use these headphones every day and have been using them for over 3 years, only having to buy a single replacement pair whereas most headphones only last me like 4-5 months if I'm lucky, even ones at twice the price. The adjustable dial on the headphones themselves is perfect for quick adjustments, and the sound quality is very nice. I haven't noticed much sound leakage (sound escaping the headphones when turned up loud so other people can hear your stuff) compared to other headphones at the same price. If you're like me and you take even bare minimum care of your headphones, this pair will last you forever. I plan on just buying this set of headphones on repeat forever whenever I need a new pair- at least until they stop selling them, because I have NEVER found a pair that's as nice as these, especially on a budget. I would rate these headphones 100 stars If I could.

Decent headphones with good mic. A little heavy
First of all, I do not use it to play games. I bought it for doing video calls mostly and listening to music in between, so my use case is a little different from other users. I bought a gaming headset for meeting because most "meeting-use" headphones with a boom mic are supra-aural, and I absolutely hate to have headphones clamping on my ears. Gaming headphones are usually circumaural and that works for my purpose. For meetings, the most important thing is the microphone and its ability to filter out external noise. The mic quality is pretty good, and it does a good job of suppressing background noise. I tested this by playing some loud music on some other devices while talking into the mic, and while the mic would still pick up the music, its volume is well suppressed, which is more than good enough to handle most noises in office environments, or kids screaming in the background. My voice is clear according to my coworkers, so this works very well. For music, while this is not bad, it is also not great. The bass department is a little lacking (I'm not even a basshead) , and the soundstage is also very narrow. If the soundstage is narrow for music, I wonder if it will do very well for games as well (I guess virtual surround sound would not translate very well on this headphone)The headphone is comfortable. Out of the box it clamps pretty tight but it quickly loosens up. It is however quite heavy. I ordered the HyperX Cloud Stinger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L2ZRYVE/ as well for comparison and that one is a lot ligher than this. While I don't think I will have problem wearing the SteelSeries the entire day, the HyperX is certainly better in the comfort department, although it looks uglier in my opinion., and if you read its reviews there seems to be serious questions about its build quality. I am probably keeping the HyperX and returning this one, hoping the HyperX doesn't break down quickly. However, if that does, I will certain order SteelSeries again

Nearly perfect headset for the absolute perfect price.
These things look pretty sleek and sound great. Every review I read and watched (and I went through a ton of them) said they were super comfy. I think they feel a little tight on my ears, but they feel more secure than other bulkier headsets. These have a nice low profile and the detachable mic is great when you're looking to listen music or something on your phone out in public. At first I kind of wished the volume controls and mute button were attached to the wire instead of the ear cup, but once I got used to the location I wouldn't have it any other way. They are largely plastic and don't feel like they are the most durable headset. Before these I had a set of MPow Eg3 Pros, which felt far more durable, but we're also far bulkier, less comfortable, and didn't sound as good. The microphone is great, it feels like it's a bit on the short side, but it's crystal clear.Don't bother with the console specific versions. From what I understand the only difference is the pattern on the fabric inside the ear cups, and usually cost more. At the time of this writing, the non-console specific version was $10 cheaper. Are these worth $50? It's a tough call, but I'd say yes.Are these worth $40? It's a no brainer. You won't get a better deal. You can spring for the wireless version for an extra $40-$50. They seem to have a few extra bells and whistles but ultimately you could probably do better for $80-$100.I don't mind a wire, so these are nearly perfect for me.
