While I had issues with this product, I can validate that this seller is honorable and completely stands behind their products. I believe is this so much I will be buying a cable from them soon. I fully recommend their products and would not hesitate to order this or another item from them. Defects happen and I think I was just the unlucky one. Excellent seller though!!!-------I originally was very satisfied with this purchase. It was a good price for the adapter, fast shipping, and seemed like quality out of the box. I have a two-monitor setup but only one VGA port on my laptop docking station, so this was perfect to plug my second monitor into the displayport on the docking station. Worked great for a week and then died a quick death. I logged onto my computer this morning and the one monitor that used the adapter wasn't working. Both monitors work fine plugged into the vga port, and another item I have works fine plugged into the displayport, so the only conclusion is that the adapter stopped working. End result is a one-star rating because I expect the adapter to work years, not days.I have contacted the seller and will update the ratings based on my experience with them and hopefully a replacement adapter.

I was a little leery of buying this device, as I had never heard of Benfei before. But when I put my last computer together just after Thanksgiving, 2019, the new video card did not have a VGA output. I needed the VGA output due to the KVM (ConnectPRO UR-12+PLUS) I use to allow me to use one keyboard, monitor, and mouse with two different computers. This device has proven itself to be robust and solid almost a year later, and I could not be happier!** Update Nov 6, 2021 **Ordered a second adapter for another computer. The first DisplayPort previously ordered is still working as expected. Bottom line, I could not be happier with both adapters!I have two computers connected through a KVM to one old(er) monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The new laptop does not have a VGA output, but does have USB-C (lightening), HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs (the latter two via a docking station). I tried the Benfei USB-C to VGA and Benfei HDMI to VGA adapters, but those adapters did not work for me. The USB-C adapter was not recognized by my new laptop (I did not have time to diagnose it), and the HDMI adapter sent a dull and unsharp picture to the monitor; this DisplayPort adapter sent a bright and sharp picture to the monitor! I sent the other two adapters back, as I found an acceptable solution.
