When this works it’s great, no lag and you wouldn’t know you’re running CarPlay wirelessly.Unfortunately it working is very hit or miss. Sometimes it works straight off and then the other 50% of the time it just keeps restarting with no way to stop it other than pull it out, restart the radio and try again.UPDATED:Contacted customer support and they have replaced it with the newer version.This works perfectly, connects everytime and works much faster than I thought possible. The small form factor is great because it sits in the centre console of my car out of the way and I can still close the lid. So much easier than plugging my phone in everytime.A great device that finally delivers on the original promise. I would recommend as long as you get the latest version.

The usual USB connection on my VW Passat stopped working and therefore an Android Auto connection was not possible. I bought this after reading the reviews, and have been really pleased with it.As other reviewers have commented, make sure you read the manual fully and completely before installing, as there's a few critical steps you can't omit. Since the setup it has been working fine, with Google Maps, Spotify, and WhatsApp all working very well.There is sometimes a bit of a delay in it starting up, usually around 10 or 15 seconds, and only when someone else has used and connected to it since I last did. Overall this works very well and was a good price.

Bought one of these for my car as the wired connection sometimes cuts out randomly for android auto, and seem to have to replace cables all the time. The initial set-up was slightly confusing (because I didn't bother to read the instructions properly! Android instructions from page 12!). It also took a few attempts and had to wait a while to connect to Bluetooth so be patient (I almost gave up) and it should connect if you give it a bit of time on the initial set-up.No it is set up it works great, with much quicker connection than my VW ID3s native wireless connection. My only reason to not give it 5 start is that if you want to connect another phone they don't automatically re-connect (only the last one that was used). Pretty simple to solve you just select it on Bluetooth on the new device and away you go.Liked it so much I bought my daughter one too.

Have always been somewhat sceptical in using these dongles as unsure they delivered a good experience. This in particular works really well, is very small and there are no wires dangling down. Connects as soon as I turn on my car, no fuss and no need to plug in the phone anymore! Also it was a good price when compared to other alternatives at Amazon. So far it has been a great experience.

When I first put this in my car I was delighted. It just worked. However it started getting more and more difficult to get it to connect. I contacted the company and was sent a couple of videos to follow to fix the issue, but my phone obviously wasn't configured the same as the one in the videos as I just didn't see the same screens. The company then sent more instructions involving setting up a VPN and getting into the adapter's IP address. I think it has sorted the issue but boy you have to be determined. Hopefully, it will work from now on.I returned the adapter as I couldn't get it to work properly

I was dubious about buying one of these as there were so many reviews saying other makes were so difficult to pair and I'm not a techy! But it was so easy to set up and has performed brilliantly since I've had it. I'd definitely recommend it.👍

Follow the book and its pretty easy to setup. Setup for iPhone is different than that for android. I had to change two settings in developer mode on my andoid phone so, if your not comfortable with that, get someone who knows what they are doing. You need to keep wifi on plus bluetooth, data and location if you need google maps. After initial setup, the phone automatically starts Android auto within a few seconds of starting your car (as long as you've got your phone with you!). On my vauxhall corsa, the power on the usb socket stays on after the ignition is switched off meaning the dongle stays powered so I unplug the dongle in order preserve the battery. If there's any delay I haven't noticed. Music starts straight away and scrolling google maps is smooth. Google voice works fine so you can call hands free on your phone or answer calls. Expensive but gets rid of the cable so I can leave the phone in my pocket. So far so good.Edit 9/4/25.No longer connecting after 8 months of use. Tried setting up again but no joy. Disappointed. Back to using a cable!

Worked really well for the first week, but now struggles to connect and often cuts out. Back to cables for me.
