Lots of room, watertight, strong

I am very happy with my carport tent and it has survived some pretty intense storms with high winds and heavy rain. I secured it to the ground with extra stakes and added stiffness with diagonal ropes inside. It hasn't ripped or moved. The Velcro widows and corner curtains allow high winds to pass through and the frame is very sturdy with the added tie down ropes. I recommend getting bigger stakes for storms but regular winds the ones provided are fine with the weighted sand bags. The zippers and straps are very sturdy and work easily. Assembly was easy and had the whole thing up in about an hour. Perfect for storing in my RV with easy break down and assembly. The fabric panels are strong and water tight. For the price very good product and hope to be using it for years to come.

Nope

Got this to keep the weather off some yard machines in Wisconsin. I read reviews and thought it would be good for what we needed.Nope.Windows have cheap velcro, so they don't stay closed. The straps for holding windows and doors basically disintegrated within a month of putting it up. Wind gets under it because the walls don't go to the ground, nor do they have any way to secure them down. The corners are a bad design, I don't even know how to describe. The stakes, and the ropes are cheap and pull out of the ground. You need a separate set of the big fin stakes to secure it. Which we had. Because of the design, wind gets inside and turns it into a big parachute. We found it pulled up and flipped, and there hadn't been any storms or high winds to speak of.Even had the protection plan, and tried to file a claim for the straps that fall off, but can't get it to work, it's a loop of 3 questions and no way to file.It was easy to set up, but NOT sturdy and not at all worth the money.

Overall decent.

So a few weeks back I got a notice from the county that I needed to either put plates on my project car, move it, or conceal it from view of the street and other properties. I didn’t want to get rid of the car and certainly didn’t want to fork over more money in taxes to the government (peace be upon it).So, I decided to order this carport and take a chance on it. After setting it up, here are my thoughts:-Packaging: product was well packaged without and damage to contents on arrival. All major components intact. Instructions on assembly were clear. 10/10-Quality: tarp material was what you’d expect - nothing super super nice, but also didn’t fall apart and rip when going together. It does not seem to be 100% water proof especially if it’s raining with any winds. I wouldn’t put anything under it that cannot get a little wet in severe weather conditions. The metal frame is on par with stainless steel exhaust pipes - only a little thinner. They will hold the test of time and are coated to help fight rust and corrosion. However, I don’t expect them to hold up against very strong winds. 7.5/10.-Appearance: after assembly, some of the tarp is not as taught/tight as it could be. Some of the grommet holes didn’t align how they should have. The resulting wrinkles take a bit away from the appearance. However, it’s not a total “satchel of Richards.” 7/10.-As advertised: the product is listed as “18.5x10” on Amazon but the product manual says “20x10.” Everything else matched.Final thoughts: you will want to order some extra bungie ties for this, as it comes up about 5-8 units short. Other than that, I’m so far satisfied with what I received. Also, it says you will need two people to assemble it. It’s doable with one person as long as you strategize a little bit first, after reading through the instructions. The manual has you put the tarp/covering on it after building the structure which is near impossible. It’s better to assemble the roof, put one side of legs on, then put the roof covering on, then put on the remaining side’s legs and wall coverings.Hope this helps.

Not what I expected!

So far is been ok. The material is tarp like material, it does not reflect at all as the pictures. The back peak ripped on installation, I had to sew it back. The stakes are not deep enough for very windy days. My suggestion is to buy better stakes or use 2 ratcheting straps over the carport (one in the front and one in the back) with 5gal buckets on each corner full of sand or rocks. That will keep it in place. It's summer right now in Wisconsin so I will update later after a snow storm.

Waste of money and high hazard in wind

UPDATE! THE COMPANY TRULY HEARD OUR PLEAS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT AND SHIPPED US A NEW ONE MADE MUCH BETTER. CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR DOING SO.Is not durable in windy conditions. Grommets all pull out in very short time. The velcro closure for windows is placed too far apart and wind causes them to open very easily causing wind lift of tent and blow over hazard several occasions. Ground spikes do nothing to hold tent in place for regular usage. Wasted our money on this.

Quality and consistency

Pretty average carport, honestly would choose from someone/somewhere else. Has needed extra support that did not come included and still moves a fair amount from the wind/storms, (I typically have to move the structure and fix the sand bags after I get home from work at least once a week). The material is also cheap in my opinion, although I understand that $300 is not much when it comes to a structure but was still hoping for better. The picture shown is my port after less than 7 months (a main support with the sandbag snapped). It did make it through the winter and was fairly simple to assemble, though that’s about it as far as pros go for me.
