I'm so glad I purchased this, but I almost went with a cheaper uglier one because of how the reviews for this one said the instructions were complicated and it was hard to put together. (Short pros and cons list at the end of this detailed review, FYI)I actually don't know what instructions they were referring to because ours didn't come with any. But the picture on the box was enough for me (female whose most experience is with assemblying shoe or clothing racks) to figure it out.There are only 5 main pieces and each one looks distinctly different. I don't know that you could even put them together incorrectly? I did have to turn one of the bolts or whatever to get it to go further in so that it had enough length for me to screw the knob in on the other side. Just including that because it did take me a minute to figure that out. I was able to put it all together myself until the part where you need a wrench. What they provided was useless. Even my handyman husband couldn't get them to work. He didn't feel like going to the garage to get his, but he ended up having to do that.I wanted this bench for the look of it because I plan to have it in our living room for daily use...but also because reviews said it was great for smaller people. I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. I put it together at the heights that were on the picture on the box it came in.The bench does feel a little flimsy and almost wobbly, but it hasn't tipped over or anything. It does exactly what I want it to, which is make it easier and more comfortable to do situps...so I actually do them! AND it's light enough for me to move it around on my own which is very important to me.Doing push-ups on it makes me a little nervous that if something slipped, I would hit my face on the metal. It hasn't happened, though, and I didn't buy it for the push-ups. I don't mind doing those other ways.My husband 5'10" and 165 lbs doesn't like using it, but he also doesn't mind doing them on the floor. Want abbs buy it. My (I am 63 Years old) six pack came back. Start slow and work your way up. Once assembled properly it u is sturdy.

I've been using this sit up bench for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The build quality is top-notch, providing excellent stability during my workouts. If you did 1000 sit-ups on this device you'd be a cripple. It looks good, but it is incredibly poorly designed. The pads are uncomfortable and wrongly located, and the height/angle adjustment is very limited due to the way the piece is designed. Save your money. Don't buy it. You won't like it. Note: For reference, I am a 5'11", 200 lb man. I should also add, it was tricky to assemble because it did not come with assembly instructions.

Very sturdy bench

The bench is ok for the money but the foam really needs to be wider and more soft. The part where your legs go is kidsize

This is a great fit to my new exercise regiment helping strengthen my core.
