This added exactly the right additional length to my filters intake. My tank is a deep tank and this gives the filter ability to filter deep from the water. I did cover the bottom slots where the water enters , with foam to prevent fish and small plants from getting caught (which should be done regardless of the extension).. Just remember to periodically clean the foam in separate aquarium water as it will filter a lot on its own and eventually slow the water going to the filter down. Well worth the money. Update. Since then I have replaced the foam filter with a piece of fiberglass screen that works very well. Hold it on with a rubber band. The foam was catching too much of the very small particles, a bit too efficient. Very unhandy to clean the foam every 2 or 3 days. I can get the screen with my siphon hose during water exchanges. A whole lot handier and does the job even better.

Da mein dazugehöriger Filter nicht so funktioniert wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe, wird dieser zurück gesendet an Amazon. Da ich diese Verlängerung, die mit Sicherheit absolut ihren Sinn erfüllen würde, nun nicht mehr brauche würde ich diese auch gern zurück schicken. Wenn ich aber für ein Teil was 7,99€ kostet, eine Rücksendung von 6,99€ bezahlen muss fehlt mir da tatsächlich das Verständnis. Ich belasse es jetzt einfach dabei und werfe das Teil weg. Für einen Euro lohnt sich der ganze Aufwand nicht. Sollte vlt mal überdacht werden...
