Great EDC Light
Great light. So many settings to choose from, I find myself using pretty much all of them for different situations. The moonlight feature especially is nice as we have an infant in a crib in our room and using the super dim moonlight to find things in the night and not wake him up is super handy. The battery life is great, I dont use it for long extended periods of time, but for the 5-10 minutes at a time that I use it, I've had this flashlight for like 6 months and only had to charge it once after the initial charge. The UV light is a little gimicky, I played with it a lot when I first got it but ill be honest, havent actually used it in real life. The magnet it the back is great, I've more than once stuck it to a metal shelf over my head or a garage door thats open and it has stayed on solild and not even come close to falling off. The clip is great as well, I have used the double side feature to clip it to my hat a lot, especially renovating our new home, it was great for hands free light quickly. My only real complaints about it are that the switch to go between UV and normal light is really easy to move, and it always gets switched in my pocket, so I pull it out and turn it on needing a flashlight and just get a UV light instead, which can be annoying. The other complaint is that if you use it for more than 20-30 minutes, it can get a little warm. Not hot enough to burn or hurt your fingers, but definitely noticeable, especially if its hot out.

Full featured EDC light
I've been carrying a Thrunite Archer Mini as my EDC light for a while and have been generally quite happy with it. I had looked at the Arkfeld in the past, but the inclusion of a laser pointer seemed relatively pointless and something I'd never use, so I stuck with the cheaper and more basic Archer. The new Arkfeld swaps the laser pointer for a UV light. While not a "must have", this can prove useful now and then. It's useful for finding leaks with automotive work or HVAC, you can check out how clean hotel rooms actually are (if you're a germophobe-don't. Even an apparently very clean room usually turns into a crime scene under a blacklight). Bit of a novelty, but more useful than a very weak laser pointer. The light itself feels very sturdy and well made. The clip is notably stiffer/stronger than the Thrunite, and the button feels nicer as well. There is a bit of a learning curve to operating it, you'll need to reference the manual probably a couple times to learn to taps, holds, ect to access all the features. The "Lockout" feature is kind of fiddly and unintuitive, although I've found not really needed. The button is slightly recessed behind the light/UV selector ring, and is stiff enough it's not likely to be accidentally pressed in a pocket. At first, I was kind of annoyed by Olight's proprietary magnetic charger. My Thrunite takes a standard usb-c to charge, which you probably have around your house, car, and can be found almost anywhere. To charge this on the go, you'll need to bring along it's special cable. However, I have warmed up to it. The battery lasts days to weeks of normal intermittent/occasional use, so worrying about the battery going flat is kind of a non issue. It also sports a battery gauge, so you know well in advance if it's getting low, a feature many small EDC lights omit (or simply have a "full/low" indicator). This also gets the benefit that the tail is magnetic, allowing you to stick it places for use hands free. Good for mechanics. Also means there is no fiddly rubber covers to deal with covering USB ports, just snap it on and its charging.Compared to the Archer Mini, this is a fair bit larger. It still pockets easily, and the flattish rectangular shape helps it be less obtrusive. Even regular-fit jeans it fits alright, although you might find a bit of interference with your phone if you use the same pocket. Baggier work or cargo pants it totally disappears. This also has more of a floodlight beam pattern compared to many other lights, which tend to be a little more spot-focused. Preferences here vary, but I think that's good. An EDC light is going to be for generally up-close tasks, not necessarily spotting far away things, so you have less of a "hotspot" and a wider field of even light. There are five brightness levels for the main light, the UV light is just on/off. "moon" is a super dim, not even candle level brightness. Even in a very dark room it doesn't do much and I find I never use it- feels like more of a gimmick to advertise "up to" 47 days of battery life. I suppose in pitch black it might allow you to read a map up close but nothing more. The low/med/high are the main modes. Low is good for dark areas for a quick task, particularly without disturbing others or blowing out your night vision. I usually leave mine on "medium" (it remembers last used mode, and turns back onto that), as for a pocket light, that's generally the most useful. High or "Turbo" are just a tap away if needed.Turbo gets toasty fast, and thermal throttles out after 3-4 minutes or so. If the light is "hot" turbo becomes disabled, it also seems to be disabled if the battery is 50% or less, so to use turbo again you'd need to turn the light off for a solid 20-30 minutes and let it fully cool down again. For a brief blast I suppose it's a nice feature to have, but not sure how useful it is in reality given it's limitations. There is a strobe function, which is incredibly bright and disorienting. A lot of EDC lights have this feature including my little Thrunight, but this one blows it away as far as intensity. Also thumbs up there's a few color choices, and a choice of neutral vs cool white. I much prefer neutral white for EDCs, easier on the eyes. Coupled with a more flood vs spot focus, I find it's just more usable. Cool white "appears" slightly brighter, but I find the neutral is just more usable. All in all a really nice EDC package. It would still be easy to recommend even without the UV light, which is sort of a bonus. Olight seems pretty honest about lumen and battery life ratings which is appreciated as well. I wouldn't complain if it was a smidge smaller- although I'm used to carrying a smaller, dimmer, light with much less battery life, so can't really blame Olight there.

Slim and good pocket fit for a good EDC item
Very easy to use. Light is bright and has black light and laser pointer. As a retired LEO I can say this is Slim and fits good in the pocket making it great as part of my everyday carry items. Highly recommend this product.

Best 365NMUV flashlight!
This light flashlight is 365NM UV easily switches to white light 1000 lm. I collect UV glass. Certain colors of glass will not glow with a 395 NM wavelength flashlight that you can usually pick up very cheap and store like Walmart. I have several colors of glass that I never would've expected to glow under UV light and until they realized you had to use the lower wavelength. I've had several flashlights that were 365 NM 10 watts that were good flashlights, but they don't compare to the olight. In the attached pictures you will see the flashlight on the UV setting pointing towards a Vaseline glass poodle, and then two glass shoes, the picture that shows them with the white light show shows that they are teal blue and purple. There are also many other things that you can see with a 365NM light such as mold spores that are microscopic if that particular mold has the property of fluorescence. Like mold, fungal infections in a person's face will glow under UV and will be a fluorescent orange. Freon is something else that has fluorescence which would come in handy for somebody working with refrigeration looking for a leak. My dad always carried around a bottle of water to use to detect the leaks. When the light is on white light, it can be adjusted from low to very bright by holding the button down and then has a strobe light /emergency light feature as well. The charger is a magnetic charger and charges the light very fast! The flashlight does have a clip to help secure it in a pocket or pouch of some sort.I just wish that the light came with a tracking device as well because I seem to lose it all the time. This is no fault of the light though that is user error.Excellent light and I would highly recommend especially at the price. It is being sold at right now!

Super bright. Good for dye checks
Liked this flashlight so much that I bought the pro version as well. I use the UV function daily to look for dye and it lights up the dye very well. Sometimes it seems like it has too many fancy settings and I get confused but olight customer service was helpful when I reached out
