I’ve installed plenty of flush mount lights for our house and this was by far the most difficult with utterly useless instructions. Most flush mounts use long screws that you screw vertically upwards so that the flatheads are hanging down so you can align the pair of openings for light. This light on the other hand has it reversed on purpose so you can screw in the tiny little ball like nuts. First problem, the long screws are very unstable because it is wobbly due to it hanging so aligning the holes was harder than it’s supposed to. When you move the mount around, the screws actually bend and move around so it’s extremely difficult to align. Scratched the hell out of my ceiling aligning it so now I have to tape up and repaint. Second, those little ball screws were a pain to screw in and wtf is the point when its all covered up by transparent panel? Utterly superfluous and whoever thought it was good idea to design the installation that way should be fired.Last of all, the fabric was actually torn so we didn’t notice it until fully installed and we removed the protector from fabric cover. If you think I’m going to waste time getting the damn thing off again just to return it, forget you.

overall good purchase and product here. We ordered the flush mount light and found the instructions to be dead wrong.Firstly, the ball-end nuts they provide are not even needed. Throw them away.Secondly, the instructions say to place the screws into the ceiling box facing down. This is not correct and will lead to a ton of wasted time! Install the mounting screws by screwing them into the installation plate, then take the light and push it to the ceiling letting the head of the screws come throw the top of the lighting fixture. You can then tighten the screws to get the light to sit flush against the ceiling.good luck !

This silly light took all my handy husband’s patience. When you’re standing on a ladder looking up at a high ceiling and getting fiberglass on yourself, the last thing you want is to remove your old chandelier and then have to find different screws and nuts and bolts and decider impossible directions while your wife holds the current product up in the air on a chair on her tippy-toes while your one year old cries because you’re not holding her!

I really enjoy the look of this light. We ended up installing 4 of them as our hallway lights. My husband did struggle with the installation, especially on the first two, but by the 4th one, the installation went much faster. So the reviews that state installation is harder are correct. I also don’t love the seam on the cloth cover, but we positioned it toward the wall and it’s not noticeable.

Not the easiest install, but attractive. Then, after a few months, one of the bulb's started flickering off. It wasn't the bulb. I moved the receptacle back and forth and it would stay on for a little while longer, then go dark again. There's obviously a bad connection, and I'm going to have to replace the bulb socket.

Bought 4 of these fixtures to update my 1926 bungalow. They are super attractive and very easy to install. The ceiling footprint is large, but exactly what I needed hide all the cracks and blemishes from removing the old fixtures. They arrived on time packaged in very sturdy boxes. The glass plate was well protected as was the cloth and metal shades.The two bulb feature really lights up my dark hallways.

Great value, using round finials on bolts on the inside made it more difficult to adjust. Personally regular nuts would make it easier to install, they are inside and don't show. Materials and appearance are nice quality.

There were so many good reviews on this and I was so excited to put it up. I have to say, in person it looks cheap. It's also kind of big for this kid of light and winds up looking strange and out of place. It's not awful and I'm going to leave it up (because it was kind of a pain to install) but I won't be buying any more of these. For an extra $20 I could have gone to Home Depot and gotten something much nicer looking.
