Q: what else could be making my washer shake during the spin cylce?

1.The washer load is unbalanced 2.The leveling legs need to be adjusted 3.The flooring is weak 4.Something in the washer is broken 5.The washer still has shipping bolts

Q: Should any new grease (such as lithium) be applied to the rubbing attachment points?

I am not an EXPERT on these things, but I suspect it is not any kind of grease. I believe it is a waxy substance such as bees wax, or the wax from a common plumbing part called a "toilet ring". The substance should slow-down the action of the shock absorber.... so GREASE would cause it to move too smoothly. I would try bees wax, or a 2 dollar WAX RING for a toilet flange. I repaired my own suspension rods using a simple procedure. I did 2 rods at a time. Remove 2 of them from the machine. Pry apart the little compartment. Remove the SPONGY thing that is inside. Then I tied 4 or 5 medium sized rubberbands in a row and wrapped them around the rod. Then simply push the "knot" of rubberbands into the place where the spongy thing came out. Snap it back together... or you could ADD some WAXY stuff as described above. THEN snap it back together. If you purchase NEW suspension rods, they will likely fail in 3 or 4 weeks also. The rubber band idea has fixed my machine for a couple months now. There are many videos on youtube about this problem. Good luck

Don't know about your model. Wouldn't fit my MVWC200BW1 suspension rods.25.5rods

Q: Is this compatible for an older Whirlpool Model LSC244EQ0 s/n CF I 802826?

They have to be original certified parts for it to work properly. I don't recommend any aftermarket parts as they did not function for me. 8 ended up getting original parts and it fixed the shaking.
