Yes, Velvet Underglazes can be fired from cone 05 - cone 10. There will be some color variances at different firing temps though, especially in the purples / pinks. See this color chart for color comparisons. Yes it is perfect for that. One coat outta do it. Maybe two.

Cone 05 to cone 6 underglazes.

This is one of the best underglazes to decorate greenware before bisque firing. The cone 5 colors hold with little or no “surprises” giving the potter full control of the end result.
