Discovery World Furniture Mission Twin Over Twin Staircase Bunk Bed with 3 Drawers in Merlot Finish

I was lucky enough to grab this bed when it dropped down to just over $500. It showed up in 4 or 5 separate boxes stacked on a palette. I chose entry way delivery but the delivery driver told me he “doesn’t do stairs”. So we (my husband and I) had to unpack it off the palette and load it all inside piece by piece. The other reviews said it took about an hour to assemble. So I began optimistic but it did end up taking about 3 1/2 hours to completely assemble. As stated in other reviews the staircase and the drawers on the side and bottom are already assembled. Which reduced assembly time a great deal. The drawers are pretty standard size and have enough space for the majority of my kid’s wardrobe. The entire bed takes up a good amount of space but we were able to get rid of a dresser and a nightstand so it did give us more room overall. The bed seems sturdy and the stairs are a great addition. They are more safe than a traditional ladder and much easier for my 5 year old to use. The color of the bed we got is pretty close to the picture. Maybe a bit darker but I prefer the color in person anyway. The wood is very soft on the rails so I imagine those will look rough over time. At the $700-800 price point I would give this bed 3 or 4 stars, but this bed is WELL worth the $500 I paid.

The split posts causes a stress fracture. Do not buy the item. You spend a crazy amount of money on this item and it becomes unsafe. Customer service is terrible, I have been working on getting parts for over a year and no closer to receiving them than when I initially found the safety issue. I ask Amazon to remove this item due to safety reasons.

Love the design and very functional. However we’ve had it less than a year and some of the stain is falling off of the first step. I can’t find anyone to contact about getting this resolved either. My kids are 4 and two so we don’t even have anyone on the top bunk yet and they have hardly used the steps. Feeling bummed.

We absolutely love these bunk beds! We even received them 6 days early, and the packaging was very neat, the boxes were blemish free and well-handled (ABF did a fantastic job!) and well organized. I was so thankful that the storage drawers underneath as well as the stairwell came pre-assembled, which saved a ton of time. It is a two-person job just do to the bulk of the pieces, but very easy and only took about an hour and a half total with unpackaging. Very sturdy and solid, great quality, the finish is beautiful and color is rich. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the drawers open and close very easily and I love how much extra storage we now have. This whole design is very smart and efficient. They even have a little magazine rack where they can put some small books on the bottom bunk. The steps are very kid friendly and have been excellent for my two and three year old. The only suggestion I would make is to label the wooden components with a sticker so it is easier to identify the correct piece. The hardware was labeled and packaged together, but there were no labels on the wood pieces, but they were labeled in the instructions. Overall we are extremely pleased! Honestly, I was very skeptical because we had ordered bunk beds from Walmart, and the package was really beat up and they were broken and we had to return them. I was a little hesitant to purchase these online, but the end product is better then I imagined.

First off, one of the boxes was damaged in shipping, but it didn't (at first) appear to have affected the bed. The box held the drawers that fit under the bottom bed. In the end, I had to do some moderate reconstruction to make sure the drawers were usable and I had to reinforce the tabs used to connect the drawer unit to the bottom bunk. The two metal tabs provided were too small and too flimsy to hold the drawers. One of the screws holding the stair unit stripped out the hole in the wood under moderate pressure.Assembly took several hours, mostly because I was working pretty much by myself, except for a few critical steps that really required more than one person. Once assembled, however, the bed is very sturdy, looks nice, and the girls love it.

We got this set because the price was right. We are so happy we did. It is such a versatile set. The steps can go on either side. The steps can be disassembled and the beds can become two twin beds! It is very good quality too.The set comes in 6 boxes. I paid to have them placed in the room because I didn't know how big it would be. The steps are the heaviest thing at 90 pounds. Also, the steps, drawers, and under the bed drawers come pre-assembled. Overall, it took me an hour to set it up by myself.Definitely recommend a drill to help you out. Use the low setting so you don't strip the screws.Very happy with!

I can not understand how it could be got all 5 star review. It is good but it feels like very light and color of this is different from picture on internet.

This thing is very high quality! The way it was all packed and packaged made it easy to unpack, organize, and move, even by myself. Even the steps were pre-assembled which saved a LOT of time! The wood itself has a nice finish and assembling was a breeze. My only complaint is that the bottom under-drawers don't seem to fit quite right (a little off) but that is not a big deal for me, the rest is PERFECT. Thank you!
