N.Y.C City Proof Long Lasting Face Powder 10 Hr, Translucent [701] 0.33 oz

I love this powder and I have been using it for years. I'm very pale and it works perfectly for my skin tone. I do always have to replace the flimsy sponge applicator that it comes with and the hinges on the compact, which are really just bent plastic, always fail before I run out of powder and the top and bottom of the compact separate. So, I end up taping the top and bottom together every time--it isn't pretty but it won't stay closed in my purse otherwise. This product was off the market for a while for a package redesign and I hoped they would solve the hinge problem but, no. They just took away nearly half of the mirror so you can see through to the color of the powder. This is not an improvement at all. I have to use another mirror just to apply the powder, super lame update!

I bought this as just a basic translucent powder and overall I am pretty pleased with it. I have noticed that if I'm wearing it over a medium or full coverage foundation that it does tend to look noticeable or slightly cakey over the top of it if you use a heavier hand, so just make sure that you tap off any excess powder and lightly dust it over your face. I have begun to use it a little more regularly to set the areas where I put my concealer, and it sets my makeup nicely as long as I don't use too much. I would likely repurchase this.

I love this so much. I actually use this to set my under eye concealer and a little goes a long way. I am caramel colored and it does not leave that nasty caked on white look that many translucent powders leave. Sometimes I don't Even put on concealer, I just put a little under my eyes over my foundation and it instantly looks brightened, but in a natural way. I did not break out and the price on this is just amazing. Since I mentioned it to my friends all of them have their own, especially since I'm starting to make beauty related videos and freelance from time to time. I would suggest this to my younger clients since they always ask for my opinion. Can't wait to get my hands on more NYC products

good but not for certain foundations! I used this on my foundation and it oxidized it, turning it green..! Perfect for a face with just moisturizer/oil serum and you wanna keep from sweating. It might work well with other foundations but not for the Maybelline fit me matte+poreless... Just my suggestion

I have always liked this pressed powder for days when I don't want to wear liquid foundation. But I can't find it in the store any longer so I looked on Amazon. I certainly hope the company didn't stop making it.This powder gives a good flat look for those who don't like a shiny face. I have combination skin and have not had any problems with this company's makeup or breakouts, rashes or dry flakiness because of it. The "transparent" works well if you want your face to look its natural coloring. At least it did for me and I have difficult to match skin that is olive toned.

I saw some pretty great reviews for this powder, it is OK in my opinion. I mean for the price... Pretty sweet, however, I don't see a "smoothing" affect. It is very light and great as a blotting powder in the middle of the day. That Is about it for me.

It glided on smooth, no caking and lasted all day. Goes with any skin tone. Perfect finish to my makeup routine to make me look fresh, and totally put together. The price is perfect for any budget. I like the powder, but the applicator it comes with is half-sized (a half circle), very thin, and a bit hard for me to hold onto. I would suggest purchasing a thin, full-sized applicator to go with this.
