Bought this for an osprey hydration pack. As other reviews say the sleeve is tight fitting. Here is how I fitted it:Remove the mouth piece from the water tube, ensure the water tube is outside of any other clips.Put a chopstick in the end of the water tube, pull the sleeve over the chopstick and start pushing it along the water tube.Hold the chopstick where it meets the water tube, bunch up the material at that point, then pull it down the water tube, repeat.At the end, you can tug on the end of the insulation at the connecting point of the tube.Perfect length!

Using other reviews, I both used a chop stick to get it started and hot water. It literally slid right on under hot water. Used the shoe rack insert for the dryer and was able to go Fat Biking within the hour.

Even though the product information says it won't work on a CamelBak it doesn't really tell you why. I decided to take a chance and found out why. I have an older CamelBak and the fabric would not slide onto the tube. It wasn't the size of the tube but the tube itself. I tried cleaning the tube thinking it was catching on dirt and grime. It wasn't. The minute I used a different tube the fabric slid on easily. I put a dab of glue on the ends so the stitching would not come undone and it also helps keep the fabric in place. The real question - did it help - yes, I could tell a difference in the temperature of the water in the tube. I was walking in temps near 100F and even though the water warmed up it never got hot.

Garbage. Bought to put on a cheaper bladder from Walmart, very thin tube, this is too small to fit, I had to sit there inching it on but by bit and now I feel like I'm gonna have carpel tunnel lol. Then when it's almost on the threads begin to come undone and it starts to fall apart. I taped the end with hockey tape and maybe it will hold for a hike or two.

This sleeve slid right onto my Camelback bladder hose unlike other’s reviews here. I had it installed in less than 2 minutes. I did take the bite valve off by sliding it out off the hose first. Works great, I would buy this again.

Took me like an hour to stretch it on, but it finally fit.

At first I struggled to get the cover on my water bladder hose but running it under water made it so much easier to slide on. Works great during my kayak races and keeps the water a bit cooler in the sun.

I have not verified the performance of the sleeve, but I'm confident the neoprene-like material will help to keep the water in the tube cool, and eliminate that initial pull of warm water we all hate to experience. I am using an Ozark Trail backpack with a water bottle. I did end up cutting the tube at the base of the mouthpiece, because I was not able to separate the two- plus the flared end may have made for a more difficult installation. I did what others mentioned, and pushed/bunched the sleeve a little at a time until I was able to work the sleeve all the way to the end of the bladder. I did notice that after (inadvertently) getting sleeve wet that portion was the most difficult to slide down the tube. My recommendation is for a dry installation, push a little at a time and continue working the sleeve until it is fully installed. Unless it has no insulation properties, I would recommend this sleeve. There are bladders with the tube already insulated for the same price as the sleeve alone, but I had no need for an additional, uninsulated bladder.
