Absolutely perfect!Originally purchased this reasonably-priced spacious 24"x24" roll-up mat to protect another gift: a pricey countertop-spanning maple butcherblock.The gift-recipient, Cecile, is a gifted backer (who's done twenty wedding cakes in her spare time!) and I thought she MIGHT find this handy there too. In fact, the durable non-stick silicone material, (only millimeters thick,) rolls out to stay perfectly flat, no curled edges - an impressive surprise.As a Vietnam-era Naval Aviator I'm a dead-on target for any small business owned/run by military "dependents" (all ironically INdependent, since even an O-4 paycheck didn't come to half my civilian equivalent!) but as a sometime baker myself I found the layout and tips great for rolling out the perfect pie crust AND lattice top. (Want to fit a deep-dish 9" Pyrex with a just a little too crimp? Concentric circles set you up exactly for the perfect shot!) Our whole Christmas Crowd relished my Minne-appolis pie (alternate layers of mincemeat and sliced Braeburn apples under a lattice laced with freshly ground cinnamon, nutmeg & sugar, just carmelized in the last ten minutes at 425ºF.) I used this mat for the first time yesterday and LOVE IT! It stays put and does not slide around on the counter. Even though it rolls up to be put away it lays flat when you put it down and you don't have to keep trying uncurl the corners. Don't know how I lived without it. I highly recommend it.

I wish I knew about this mat earlier in my life. No need to tape it down like my other mats. This mat stays in place and works very well rolling out any type of dough, fondant or whatever you desire to roll out. The size is a very nice size as well and I love the charts and helpful hints on the mat. Superb purchase

My daughter gave me the Ambrosial Silicone mat for Christmas last year; it's great for rolling out pie dough, scones, and cookies, and my granddaughter enjoys using it for play dough. The best part is that it rolls up very small and fits in my drawer next to my rolling pins, yet always lays flat when I work with it. I just bought one for my son and his wife for the upcoming Christmas.

Had never tried one of these mats before. I am sold. Easy surface on which to work, easy clean up takes up little space, and the information printed on the mat was surprisingly helpful. Will definitely recommend.

This mat is easy to use and the indicators are easy to read. I folds and unfolds very nicely unlike my old plastic mat. Also cleans really well. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone beginner and experienced.

Used once so far to roll out pie dough. The size is great, can roll out a very large pie dough. A lot of room to work. With just a little flour the dough did not stick. Highly recommend.

Great product and it is nice not to have to try and scrape flour off the counter when I am working my bread!!!
